The summer months are here and working out outdoors is a much more valuable option. If you are doing yoga, jogging, and performing a general workout in the summer it is important to not overheat in high temperatures.
First and foremost you have to keep yourself hydrated. Preferably with water. You want to avoid liquids like soda, coffee, sugary drinks, and Alcohol. It is also important that your water is chilled.
If you are used to a 45-minute workout session you may want to reduce that by about 15 to 20 minutes in extremely hot weather. If you are going to workout try to start your workout as early as possible. Summer mornings are a bit cooler than the middle of the day.
You also want to wear proper clothing. Cool and breathable fabric clothing like wicking fabrics is the way to go. You may also want to wear activewear sunglasses.
